Rejection of God’s Heart? No!

October 30th, 2007
“I ask then: Has God totally rejected and disowned His people? So I ask, Have they stumbled so as to fall? By no means! But through their false step and transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to arouse Israel and to make them jealous. Now if their stumbling has so enriched the world and if failure means such riches to the Gentiles, think what AN ENRICHMENT AND GREATER ADVANTAGE WILL FOLLOW THEIR FULL REINSTATEMENT!For since the Jews’ rejection meant that God offered salvation to the rest of the world, what will their acceptance mean? It will be life from the dead!

But if some of the branches were broken off, while you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them to share the richness of the olive tree. Do not boast over the branches and pride yourself at their expense. If you do boast and feel superior, remember it is not you that supports the root, but the root supports you. They were broken off because of their unbelief and you were established through faith. So do not become proud and conceited, but rather stand in awe and be reverently afraid. Even those others Jews, if they do not persist in clinging to their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God has the power to graft them in again.

I do not want you to miss this hidden truth and mystery: a hardening has temporarily fallen onto a part of Israel until the full number of the ingathering of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved. As it is written, The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will banish ungodliness from Jacob. For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. Just as you were once disobedient and rebellious toward God but now have obtained His mercy through their disobedience, so they also now are being disobedient that they in turn may one day, through the mercy you are enjoying, also receive mercy. Oh the depths of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How fathomable are His judgements! And how mysterious are His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord and who has understood His thoughts, or who has ever been His counsellor?” Romans 11: 1,11,12,15,17,18,20,23,25,26,29-34 (The Amplified Bible)

And with these words God pierced my heart. That was 4 years ago. Now 4 years on, these very words of God grow stronger within. The heresy of Replacement Theology (where the Church replaces Israel & Israel is redundant & irrelevant to us now) deeply grieves and disturbs my spirit. The Word of God shows the Church has NOT replaced Israel! God can not disown His heart for them, His first born, His chosen ones. Our God is BOTH of the Old & New Testament. He is true to His Word, to his Covenants. He has said much & covenant much to Israel. They have a purpose and plan still!

Constantly churning over in my spirit has been the question, “What greater blessing will come to the world when the Jews come to their fullness and accept Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah?” (reference to Romans 11:12) What will their fullness look like? What will the “one new man” from Ephesians 2, look like? I dont want to miss anything that the Lord has destined. Do you?

In the hidden place

October 26th, 2007

“In the hidden place
the cleft
the desert dune
a removed remoteness
a detox from a world ruled by the Prince of the Air.
Removed from the routines
the news
the noise.
Seclusion.
In these hidden places
I stand alone
Unimpeded
A single focus.
Removed from distraction
I quieten my beloveds.
Where I still the raging inner voices,
inner noises.
And I alone can do what I can do.
An undivided focus
An intent heart
Seeking, soaking in Me
In such places grow men & women of honor,
Valor
Conviction
And grace.
In the hiddenness I grow the seeds planted
and nurture my truth,
My Word.
Building slowly, quietly
without fuss, without parades
My champions
My children
to become men
women
whole, complete in maturity
lacking nothing
striving for nothing
content in the nothing
but the fullness of the Rock.
Finding fullness not emptiness.
Finding Me
Jesus – Yeshua
The one who lives for the Father
The Father and I are one,
complete
lacking nothing
astounding in an enormous and unending wholeness.

I, the one and only God
in all of My enormity
dwell in such places.
Darkness filling the chamber of My presence
and it is this glory
the Father’s glory
that is seen, tasted
breathed.
In hiddeness
in the fertile soil of this underground
the comfort in the nook of the rock.
It is My power that is manifest in such out of the way, removed places.
My power
and your quiet reformation – transformation.
My spirit hovers
lingers
broods
exists over
stirring
moving as a veil of grace and healing
over the ones hidden in the cleft of the Rock.
I impregnate
Knowledge known through revelation of Myself, My heart, My passions.
I restore My image
My mind
in the scattered places of the human soul
untwisting the carnage left by My enemy,
intent on the destruction of the image of God sculpted in man.
The ways of God confound this Prince,
It is foolishness to his wisdom..

But it is in the hiddenness
the most astounding, impressive work of God,
all powerful, all knowing,
takes place.
A place to embrace
long for
linger in
and yearn not to be from;
for it is His place
and where He is, is beautiful.
Transforming glory to glory.”

Revelation of Jesus Christ

October 19th, 2007

“This is the revelation of Jesus Christ… Blessed is the man who reads aloud the words of this prophecy; and blessed are those who hear it and who keep themselves true to the things which are written in it, for the time (for them to be fulfilled) is near. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth shall gaze upon Him and beat their breasts and mourn and lament over Him. Even so. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord God. He who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty (the Ruler of All).” Rev 1:1,3, 7-8

Lovers of God

October 11th, 2007

“..lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.” 2 Timothy 3:4

For the last few days the phrase ‘lovers of God’ has been echoing in my mind & spirit. At times I’ve been compeled to cry out, “Rise up Lovers of God!” A deep travail has taken place.

Over the last 8 years whenever God has taken us to a new country, he has shown us some of the most prevailing dominate spiritual forces at work in that place & then he has set about walking us through how to overcome & not be conformed to these demonic forces. Every country has them. For the prince of this world is God’s enemy, as I shared in my last blog. One of the things that has struck me quite profoundly upon our return to Australia is the pursuit of pleasure. It seems to be the recommended painkiller for a tormented Australian soul birthed in a situation over 200years ago that was everything but good. Yet this chapter from Paul’s letter to Timothy is not about Australia, it is about the last days. Lovers of pleasure will pervade the world. But what is God’s design for man? It is stated here in 2 Timothy 3:4, “lovers of God.” This was & is the point of Israel. This was God’s original design & purpose on earth for Israel, to show the world who God is & how to love him! The remnant of Israel (those who have embraced & recieved revelation of Jesus as Messiah) are showing us this today.

The other day the Lord had me dwelling yet again in Song of Songs 2. I invite you to read this & let the Holy Spirit teach you as you dwell in it. It was verse 7 that caught the attention of my spirit this time.
“Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the swift gazelles and the deer of the wild, not to awaken love until the time is right.”
I was struck by the phrase “not to awaken love until the time is right.” This states there is a right time to awaken love. God is into right timing. And one thing we have discovered for sure is that timing is exclusively his! He appoints times for certain purposes. Do we know what the time is now? Do we know what God’s purpose is now? As I read through 2 Timothy 3, it was as if I were listening to the news. Paul states what time it is in his opening sentence; “You should also know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.” (3:1) So what is God’s purpose in these last days? A few sentences later,be lovers of God! To be a lover of God requires having love awoken. The time is right for love to be awoken!

“My lover said to me, ‘Rise up, my beloved, my fair one, and come away. For the winter is past, and the rain is over and gone. The flowers are springing up, and the time of singing birds has come, even the cooing of turtledoves. The fig trees are budding, and the grapevines are in blossom. How delicious they smell! Yes, spring is here! Arise, my beloved, my fair one, and come away.” Song of Songs 2:10-13

Father. Awaken by your spirit, lovers of you. Breathe into their spirits, into their hearts a love for you, simply you. In your mercy, make them hungry for the loveliness that is you, not the vain pleasures of this world. Breathe upon them and awaken love for you, beautiful you.
